Introducing the third edition of the CISO Board Book
A testament to the growing importance of cybersecurity expertise
When we first launched the CISO Board Book one year ago, we set out to bring cybersecurity expertise and leadership to the boardroom. Cybersecurity expertise is needed more than ever at this level, and we aimed to highlight the incredible talent within our industry. Now, with the release of the third edition, I am thrilled by our progress and grateful for the support from the cybersecurity community.
Cybersecurity belongs in the boardroom
The need for cybersecurity expertise at the highest levels of decision-making has never been more urgent. Cyber attacks are becoming more frequent, more impactful, and harder to detect and contain. New regulations are being introduced globally; and while they’re extremely important, they are also complex and nuanced. Businesses need leaders who understand the latest threats, the impacts of cybersecurity incidents, and how to comply with regulations.
That’s why I’m so passionate about the CISO Board Book and the progress we’ve made over the past year to empower and bring visibility to CISOs. This new edition is a powerful tool for bridging the gap between cybersecurity and business strategy. With nearly 250 board-ready cybersecurity leaders featured, it showcases the incredible talent and specialized expertise that exists within our industry. These individuals are not just technical experts; they are strategic thinkers, risk managers, communicators, and business leaders who are ready to make a real difference in the boardroom.
Bringing visibility to exceptional cyber leaders
In addition to releasing the third edition of the Board Book, we’re also featuring these outstanding CISOs in the New York Times today and hosting a CISO event at the New York Stock Exchange this afternoon. With these, we hope to send a clear message: cybersecurity expertise belongs in the boardroom, and every company needs to recognize its value.
As I look back on the journey that has led us to this third edition, I truly believe that by supporting CISOs and promoting their expertise, we can create a more secure and resilient business environment. I hope that this third edition of the CISO Board Book inspires change, encourages companies to embrace cybersecurity expertise at the highest levels of leadership, and empowers CISOs to take their rightful place in the boardroom.
